Job Opportunity

Due to continued growth, we are looking to expand their workforce and recruit a test engineer to join the team to lead testing works in ongoing and future projects in residential and commercial sectors. The job will include:

  • Performing thorough electrical inspections of equipment to satisfy Electricity at Work Regulations
  • Carrying out NICEIC Electrical Installation Condition Reports, Identifying, coding and recording of deviations from BS7671
  • Completion of NICEIC Certificates
  • Carrying out Emergency Light Testing and recording any deviations from BS5266-1
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of commissioning programmes
  • Assist with the quality control testing during first fix stages
  • Maintain monthly accuracy checks of the company test equipment
  • Respond to call outs during normal working hours to our live defect periods
  • Assisting with the installation and commissioning of equipment
  • Working away from home on occasions with accommodation and travel covered by company.

Skills Required

  • Full time served electrician
  • NVQ 3 or City & Guilds equivalent in electrical installation
  • IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition
  • Current valid ECS card
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and electrical drawings
  • Ability to communicate (read, speak & write) in English
  • IT Literate including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
  • Experienced in similar role with minimum 3 years experience
  • City & Guilds 2391 (Testing & Inspection) or City & Guilds 2394 & 2395 or equivalent
  • Full clean driving licence

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experienced in Electrical Installation Condition Reports
  • Experience using Amtec Fast Test Software
  • Experienced in Emergency Lighting Testing
